Recreational Activities and Attractions at Deep Creek State Park

1- Beach Fun and Swimming

Along the shorelines of Deep Creek Lake, the park has a sandy beach for swimming and soaking up the sun. On the other hand, those who enjoy swimming, lifeguards are present  in summer months, ensuring the safe swimming. The park is a great beach getaway, offering restrooms, picnic areas, playground, and grills. I often visited the ocean beaches, so going swimming at lake beach was new for me. Stepping into the water, I felt the gradual slope, which is also welcoming for kids. Enjoying the coolness of clean fresh water and soaking up the sun while kids making the sandcastles was one of the best beach days we spent in a long time. However, the park only allows swimming in the particular lake area with no waves unlike the ocean beaches. The beautiful water views and peaceful atmosphere offers a rejuvenating experience.
