Last summer, I planned a visit to Smallwood State Park with my kids and we were all pumped up because it had been a very long time since we had a family time together. Important Information for Visitors
Smallwood State Park Entrance Fee: During peak season, such as from April to October the fee structure is:
- For Maryland residents – $3 per person on weekends and holidays and $3 per vehicle on weekdays
- For Out-of-State visitors – $5 per person on weekends and holidays and $5 per vehicle on weekdays
From November to March, the Smallwood State Park entrance fees is:
- For Marylanders – $3 per vehicle
- For Non-Marylanders – $5 per vehicle

The park was named after one of the most notable figures of Maryland, Major General William Smallwood, who had a family property and home at this state park. We have booked one of the Smallwood State Park Campsites near the marina side. I couldn’t get enough of the views from our camp and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.
