One of the ultimate entertainment venues in Maryland, Regency Furniture Stadium not only hosts the electrifying baseball games, but is also known for its captivating amenities, special events, concerts, and family-friendly entertainment. Situated in Walford, Maryland the stadium has been the home field of independent Mid Atlantic league’s team, Southern Maryland Blue Crabs since 2008. Combining the classic and modern flares of attractive features, Regency Furniture Stadium boosts the fan experience and family-fun day out. Moreover, the red angled roof design is a unique architectural feature, giving tribute to the tobacco barn history of Southern Maryland. Let’s unfold the noteworthy amenities of this place, upcoming events, and game highlights in this article. I have attended many baseball games and some concerts there and will share some of my personal experiences with you.
Exclusive Facilities and Amenities at Regency Furniture Stadium
1- Elevated Seating
Offering a spacious and comfortable ambiance with around 6,200 seats, Regency Furniture Stadium seating is what fans love the most. The inviting space with enjoyable surroundings makes the game experience more exciting and delightful. Furthermore, the wide green seats covering most of the stadium seating area, fans can also book the luxury suites with exclusive indoor seating, catering services, and upscale experience. On the other hand, the picnic pavilions allow a more relaxed family outing while cheering the favorite team play. My experience of visiting this stadium during the last game of the Southern Maryland Blue Crab was memorable. The Regency Furniture Stadium seating design is unique and different from the typical baseball stadiums. Additionally, the inward curved seating design creates a close and immersive view in the infield from home plate and bases. However, I noticed that this arrangement completely blocks the outfield view and scoreboard for the first-base line audience.
2- Savory Ballpark Concession Stands
Comprising a ballpark with 16 skyboxes, visitors can enjoy delicious food from the concession stands at the stadium. Furthermore, Maryland’s local favorite dishes, such as crab cakes and seafood cuisines are the key highlights for all foodies. Besides, you can also savor hot dogs, soft pretzels, nuggets, nachos, fried rockfish, sea dog, and many more dishes. Moreover, I explored the brewery stops offering an inclusive selection of cocktails, beers, cold drinks, and cold water. My friends and I enjoyed the food so much while rooting for our favorite team on the ground.
3- Special Events Venue
More than a baseball venue, the stadium also features private events, conferences, and party spaces to their guests. Celebrating the success of our team in last year’s league, my friends and I explored the spacious event venues and party decks at Regency Furniture stadium Maryland. We were impressed by the stunning Legends’s Club, where visitors can host special and private gatherings and conferences.
4- Ballpark Attractive Features
We decided to stay overnight in Walford to explore the stadium closely, otherwise we were supposed to leave after the match. But, with Sunday approaching, we planned to fully experience each amenity and facility of the stadium. An amazing lineup of family-friendly amenities and fun activities at the ballpark include:
- A 54,000 gallon Crabby Cove, featuring an artificial pond. It allows families to immerse in paddle boat rides and enjoy a memorable day-out along with enjoying the matches.
- Moreover, kids can enjoy a delightful time playing at Pinch’s Playground, offering inflatables and a rock-climbing wall. I tried climbing the wall in a few attempts and it was so much fun.
- In addition, fans can get beautiful gifts and souvenirs from Blue Crabs’ Souvenir shop, a memory of their favorite team including T-shirts, hats, gift cards, and more stuff.
- There is a Basketball Court behind the left-center field, allowing fans to play around during the home games.
Regency Furniture Stadium Events
The stadium hosts multiple events year around, including the baseball matches, soccer matches, concerts, and wrestling events.
