For a history buff like me, visiting the recreational historic sites of Maryland is nothing short of an adventurous learning experience. Additionally, I did some research about this place before my visit to better understand what makes North Point State Park MD special in America’s history, especially in Baltimore. Surprisingly, this park was one of the battlefields involved in the Battle of North Point during the 1812 War, where the American military resisted the British advance towards Baltimore. Before transforming into a state park, North Point Park was home to historic Bay Shore Amusement Park in the early 20th century. In addition, giving nostalgic and magical vibes, many remnants from Bay Shore Amusement Park are still present and restored, such as the fountains and trolley station. Besides, we also went to the trolley station area, which is now transformed into a covered picnic site for families. Kids have a lot of fun there, eating and playing around. Plus, we also took many beautiful North Point State Park photos. North Point State Park does not have a permanent Ferris wheel. Although a Ferris wheel was temporarily set up for a special event in 2014, it was not a permanent installation. The park offers a variety of other attractions, including beautiful scenic views, water access, and hiking trails.
