Our family of four members packed their bags and were excited to dive into the adventure. In this blog, I will share the whole week of exploration and fun in Ocean City, discovering the best places to visit on Ocean City, Maryland.

Day 1: Getting Settled

We started our adventurous journey to Ocean City on a delightful Saturday Morning. Our excitement was beyond description because it was our first time visiting this city in Maryland. The travel went off seamlessly, as the kids were either sleeping or playing games on their iPads. After traveling for a few hours, we reached our destination. Besides, the charming view of the Atlantic Ocean As soon as we crossed the Ocean City bridge was the starting kick of our memorable trip. I have booked a rental home through Airbnb and arrived there without any hitch. After settling in and refreshing ourselves, we decided to have a stroll through the streets and have our dinner outside. We opted for an iconic eatery, Thrasher’s French Fries, to grab our evening meal and headed back to our rental home for rest.

Day 2: A Fun Day at Beach and Boardwalk Excursion

The first day in Ocean City was all about beach relaxation and outdoor activities. We were up early in the morning and excited to witness the beach beauty of the city. We had our breakfast from a food truck in the street and reached Ocean City Beach. Moreover, the kids were thrilled playing around the waves and my husband and I sat down under our umbrellas to soak in the sound and beauty of the ocean. In mid-morning, we packed our things from the beach and decided to explore the Ocean City Boardwalk. From vibrant markets to street performers and alluring shops, everything was so mesmerizing.

For having a lunch snack, we stopped at Fisher’s Popcorn and tried their famous caramel-coated popcorn, a perfect snack. We witnessed the breathtaking views of the coastline while enjoying a thrilling ride on the Ferris Wheel. It was the highlight of our afternoon adventure.

Furthermore, we enjoyed an unforgettable dining experience at Harrison’s Harbor Watch. Their savory seafood and overall seating ambiance with striking views of sunset was an ever-lasting memory. Moreover, after filling our stomach with delicious food, we walked back to our temporary house while relishing the gentle breeze and lively boardwalk atmosphere.

Day 3: Visiting Assateague Island and Enjoying Mini Golf

Exploring the scenic wonders and pristine beauty of Assateague Island was our mission for the third day in Ocean City. It was really one of the best places to visit in Ocean City, Maryland, known for the charming wild horses wandering around. In addition, we had a fun picnic on the island while enjoying the beautiful view of horses grazing around the dunes. My husband and kids were so thrilled that they captured hundreds of photos there. It was a memorable outing day with my family, as we gathered a lot of memories at this place.

Next, we planned to head back to Ocean City in the afternoon and enjoyed a course of mini golf at Old Pro Golf, an ideal place to have a family fun day. They entertained us with whimsical courses, safari, dinosaur areas, dolphin cruise pirate ships, and themed castles. With a mutual decision, we agreed to have pizza for dinner at The Dough Roller. No doubt, the pizza and the sauces were a hit and we all loved it.

Day 4: Adventure Parks and Shopping Therapy

Our fourth day was filled with an incredible enjoyment at Jolly Roger Amusement Park where we took adventure rides and kids were indulged in playing on water slides. Additionally, the fun while riding on roller coasters and bumper cars was an outstanding delight. Kids were having so much fun that they didn’t want to leave this place. Besides, we had a delectable lunch in the park, as multiple stalls and food booths were installed by local vendors.

After this extraordinary enjoyment, we checked out some local shopping centers and stores. We were lucky to catch summer sale deals and bought many souvenirs to remember this delightful trip. Further, the dinner for that day was at M.R. Ducks, a beautiful waterfront eatery with great atmosphere and food. This was all for day four in Ocean City, Maryland.

Day 5: Enjoying a Water-bound Day and Dining Out

We decided to spend day five enjoying the water sports and sailing with Odyssea Watersports. Initially, the kids were hesitant to get on the boat and involve in water sports, but soon they were relaxed and enjoyed cruising on the water. My husband went for peddleboarding while I enjoyed kayaking. Furthermore, we chose Longboard Café for lunch, as they have amazing waterfront location. Specifically, their diverse food menu, kind staff, and welcoming atmosphere made this place our favorite dining spot in Ocean City.

Kids insisted on spending the afternoon on the beach, as they were excited to play volleyball with their new friends. After soaking in the sun and spending a satisfactory time at the beach, we headed to The Hobbit Restaurant for a high-end dining experience. The elite and luxurious atmosphere with picturesque water views was a key highlight, accompanied by the most exquisite deserts we have ever had.

Day 6: Exploring Different Cultures and Nightlife

Sixth day was invested in exploring the local culture and historic legacy of the city. The Ocean City Life-Saving Station Museum was our first stop. The guided tour narrated the maritime history of the Ocean City and led us to mind-bobbling artwork and exhibitions. Strolling around the local art galleries and museums, we learned about their culture and traditions.

We loved the savory sandwiches and chocolate shake sundaes at Dumser’s Dairyland while relishing the casual and nostalgic vibes of this place. We picked some artwork from the local galleries and stopped at the Art League of Ocean City, one of the most beautiful art galleries in the city.

After exploring the culture and local talent, we decided to get an insight into the nightlife scenes of the city. On top of it, we enjoyed delightful live music performances at Seacrets and discovered the best bars there. The bustling nightlife scenes in the streets made our day end at a perfect note.

Day 7: Goodbye Day

The day of departure arrived very soon, as we didn’t have enough to admire the beauty of this place. For our last day in Ocean City, we decided to go at Dolle’s Candyland to get the best candies as souvenirs. Then, we took a leisure stroll along the beach, collecting some seashells and enjoying the scenic views for the last time. After spending a few hours exploring some hidden gems, we came back and packed our luggage. Traveling back from the city, we were overwhelmed with the best moments we had and the breathtaking beauty of this city. It was a fantastic destination for family vacation with a perfect blend of food, views, and rich culture.
