Yoga in the Garden

Start Your Day with Yoga in the Paca Garden!

Join us for a refreshing yoga experience led by Cathy Shaw in the beautiful setting of the William Paca Garden.

This 50-minute Vinyasa-style yoga class is open to all levels and includes sun salutations, standing and seated postures, gentle backbends, and a strong emphasis on mindful breathing. Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or just beginning your practice, modifications are always available — everyone is welcome.

What to Bring:
Please bring a yoga mat, towel, and water bottle. The class will take place on the tented brick terrace of the Paca Garden. Folding chairs are available upon request. Enter through the driveway on the far right side of the Paca House.

Recommended for ages 8 and up.

Meet the Instructor:
Cathy Shaw is a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP), and certified mindfulness meditation instructor with over seven years of experience. Her teaching blends yoga, breathwork, meditation, and sound healing to create a nurturing, trauma-informed, and inclusive environment. Cathy’s heart-centered approach empowers students to explore their inner world and embrace wellness at their own pace. She is currently pursuing advanced certifications in yoga therapy and mindfulness mentoring.

Accessibility Info:
The event takes place on a tented, brick terrace in the William Paca Garden. Entry is accessible via a brick ramp. The upper garden is also accessible via ramp with handrails. Please note that pathways consist of loose pea gravel and the lower garden levels can only be reached by stairs. A single-use, accessible indoor restroom is available via ramp.
