Raynes

Raynes, a British-American trio, came together in a uniquely modern way. North Dakota natives Mat Charley and Joe Berger discovered UK-born Mark Race on Instagram—first drawn in by his look, then captivated by his voice. After a few exchanges, Mark was on a flight to the U.S. to form a band with them—a trip so meaningful, he later tattooed the flight number on his arm.

The band is known for its rich vocal harmonies, distinctive instrumentation, and poetic lyrics. With each member bringing a different musical background to the table, Raynes blends a wide range of global influences. Their sound fuses elements of folk, rock, chamber pop, Celtic, and world music into something entirely original—so unique, in fact, that they still haven’t settled on a single genre to describe it.
